The Coast Guard, Sitka Police and Fire Departments are looking for 40-year-old Jesse Mills, reported missing by his wife.
Mills left home Wednesday night, wearing a black sweatshirt and black Carhartts. His single kayak, a lime green and white Seaward, is also missing, prompting his wife to believe he went kayaking.
We dont have any information that he is indeed kayaking, Thats why the police department is also involved with doing shore searches and keeping an eye out for him there.
The Coast Guard has been focusing their search throughout Northern Sitka Sound, as well as Japonski Island and the east side of Kruzof Island.
