Body of Indianapolis mother found in creek
A death investigation surrounds an Indianapolis mother of two found dead in a creek.
Owen County officials say 32-year-old Danielle Akers’ body was recovered on Friday. A passerby tells us the body was spotted in Mills Creek, just south of Spencer. Now a cross with purple flowers, a balloon and messages of mourning is placed near the creek.

...Brittany doesn’t know why or how her sister ended up in Owen County, more than 60 miles from home.

“There would be no reason for her to go there. There’s nothing there, all her friends and family are here in Indianapolis,” said Brittany.

Detectives are still searching for clues in this investigation. Brittany feels it could lead to someone her sister possibly knew or even trusted.
