Three days after the arrest of former fire chief Ricky Plummer, for a felony alleging arson, Interim Police Chief David Mara said he'll look into whether any fires that occurred during Plummer's 19-year tenure in Portsmouth should be reviewed...
During Plummer's tenure in Portsmouth, three people died in an Oct. 11, 1986 fire, at 314 Islington St., and one of the victims, Linda Plummer, has the same last name as the former fire chief now accused of arson. That fire remains classified as an unsolved triple homicide and is on the state attorney general's "cold case" list.
