TX - Iris Rodriguez, 7, shot to death, mom injured, San Antonio, 1 June 2016

The second suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 7-year-old girl on the West Side earlier this month was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Jonathan Campos, 22, will face a charge of capital murder for his alleged role in the death of Iris Rodriguez, said Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Bozeman. Iris was shot in the head June 1 while walking with her family near Cuellar Park in the 5500 block of San Fernando Street...

The first suspect in the case, 28-year-old Frank Gomez, was arrested on June 3 and charged with capital murder. According to Campos’ arrest warrant affidavit, Gomez told investigators he saw Campos, who he referred to as “Slicer,” fire several shots at Iris.
