Employees and visitors were being evacuated this morning from the Detroit City Hall on a report of a possible gunman in the building. The building is currently on lockdown, after an initial evacuation.

There are numerous police cars and officers around the Coleman A. Young Municipal Building and the SWAT team has been called in.

Chief James Craig told reporters that someone got past security with a possible handgun in a bag. He said it was a grainy image, so they are not sure if it is a gun.

"There is no threat, no active shooter. We just want to make sure everyone is safe. ... There is a possible breach of security."

Craig said authorities are looking for a white man, who is wearing a dark-colored suit.
