Village People policeman no-show in court

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (AP) — Victor Willis, the original policeman in the 1970s music group the Village People, was being sought after failing to show up Thursday for a sentencing in a drug case, authorities said

Willis, who co-wrote disco hits such as Macho Man and In the Navy, was arrested in July after police found a gun and what was believed to be crack cocaine in his car after a traffic stop.

He was scheduled to be sentenced Thursday morning in San Mateo County Superior Court, but failed to show up. The judge issued arrest warrants for a probation violation and for the drug case, a clerk said.

Does this mean that VW is on the lam?? San Mateo seems to be a popular place, but if you want to find some real action, go across the Bay to Oakland--the Oakland/Emeryville/Richmond area has a lot of murders, and everything else that you can imagine.

Maybe he wants to go to prison.

They have everything for young men to enjoy, he can hang out with all the boys...

Or maybe he just wanted to be a Macho, Macho Man...He wants to be a Macho Man!

He needs to put his pride on the shelf and go hang out with the boys.
