I wonder if Lorraine was on her way to Bull Creek Station? Quite a long walk though:

A = Vahland Ave, Willetton (where Lorraine's friend dropped her off in their car).

B = cnr Apsley Rd and Brolga Pmn (where Lorraine was found fatally injured).

C = Bull Creek Train Station.

Collie mum assaulted or run over before death
    Tayissa Sweetlove

'Homicide detectives investigating the death of a Collie mother of two found unconscious on a Willetton road in June say she was either assaulted or hit by a slow moving car, or possibly was the victim of both scenarios.'

'Det-Sgt Anthony Thompson said investigators had received a substantial amount of CCTV from the area around where Ms Hansen was found, but they hoped people with dash cameras would now come forward.

"We feel someone from the public may have been there and have critical information in regards to the offence we are investigating," Det-Sgt Thompson said.

He said police were investigating criminality but we're keeping an open mind about the circumstances surrounding the 25-year-old mother's death.

"The location that she suffered her injuries and the circumstances are clearly intriguing and causing significant concern," he said.

"She may have been run over and she may have been assaulted.'

'"WA Police are keeping an open mind in regards to whether she may have been assaulted or alternately hit by a slow moving vehicle, it may be the case it was a combination of both."

Ms Hansen suffered significant head injuries which unfortunately been proven inconclusive to determine exactly what happened to her.

Det-Sgt Thompson said if she had been hit by a car, the driver would have been aware he had hit Ms Hansen.

"If she was hit by a slow moving car, you would think that that person would know, in regards to the lighting at the time, the position on the road in which she was found.

"It would be reasonable to expect the person would know about that," he said.

He said Ms Hansen's death had impacted significantly on her three-year-old daughter and two-year-old son and police were appealing for anyone with information to help them solve the case.'

Police continue investigations into death of Collie woman
    The Collie Mail
    3 Aug 2016, 11:52 a.m.

'Major Crime Squad officers are continuing their investigations into the death of Collie mother of two Lorraine Jane Hansen in Willetton on 29 June 2016.

Around 12.15am, 25 year old Lorraine was located on the road way at the corner of Apsley Road and Brolga Promenade in Willetton. She was discovered by members of the public with life threatening injuries and was conveyed to Fiona Stanley Hospital, where she passed away a short time later.'

'Major Crime Squad officers are calling witnesses who were in the Willetton area between the hours of 10.00pm and 12.45am, particularly in the Apsley Road and Karel Avenue areas, to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Anthony Thompson believes that someone may have valuable information to assist in this investigation.

“These are busy roads and we believe that a number of vehicles use the same routes in the area on a regular basis,” Detective Sergeant Thompson said.

“Even the smallest piece of information can assist us to piece together the circumstances leading up to Lorraine’s death.”'

There's a stop for the Route 508 bus at Apsley Rd/Brolga Prom. Timetable here:

    http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/time...9-16&time=2218

Buses are timetabled to arrive at the stop at 17 or 18 minutes past the hour, on the hour, from 10:17PM on Tuesdays.

I wonder if Lorraine may have first been assaulted and/or run over by a bus? A bus driver may not notice colliding with someone, or running them over, that late at night. I hope police have checked Transperth buses, their CCTVs/dashcams, and the drivers on the 508 route on the night before Lorraine was found.

Still no answers for Lorraine’s family, more than 18 months after her death:

Still no answers to Willetton road fatality a year on
    Canning Times
    Emma Geary
    May 10th, 2017, 01:00AM

‘NEARLY a year has passed since Lorraine Jane Hansen died after being fatally injured on a suburban road in Willetton.

Her mother Dulcie Hart is frustrated, upset and angry and wants answers as to who is responsible for her daughter’s death.’

‘Since her daughter’s death, Ms Hart, who lives in Collie, has experienced serious health problems.

“I have been waiting on answers since she passed away.

“I want answers now,” Ms Hart said.

The 54-year-old grandmother survived a heart attack last month and is taking antibiotics to treat a sore on her back.

Just before Christmas last year she became homeless and lost all her possessions including precious photographs and items that belonged to her late daughter.

“I am now living on the streets in Collie. I have nowhere to go,” she said.

Ms Hansen’s aunt Dianne Hart said her niece was a beautiful person and that the family wanted answers about her death.

She said Ms Hansen had great potential and had travelled around Australia on a leadership course to learn about Aboriginal culture.

“We went up to Cairns and down to Melbourne. She really loved it and was waiting to go on the next leadership course to America.”

She said her niece was from Collie and had studied at the town’s Wilson Park Primary School and a Noongar cultural centre.

Ms Hansen is survived by her two young children who are being raised by a relative in Perth.‘
