He was one of the most iconic police officers in television history, and now he’s a cop in real-life, too.

Erik Estrada, who played Officer Frank “Ponch” Poncherello on the 1970s/1980s TV series “CHiPs,” was sworn in as a reserve officer in St. Anthony, Idaho over the weekend.

Estrada will be working on the police department’s new Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force...

This is interesting, but in 2009 he was a full-time deputy sheriff in Bedford County, VA.
