Sharon Apgar last saw her family in Clermont County before she headed to Northern Kentucky, where she was possibly meeting her ex-husband. Sharon last called her mother from a friend's home in Crescent Springs in late November. She told her mother if she didn't hear from Sharon in a week, to please contact the sheriff's department because she did fear for her life. She was last seen by friends in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Foul play is suspected.

There is an interesting article (about a meeting in 2011 about domestic violence) at bcp 10-9 where Sharon's sister talks about her and her relationship with Mike George. There seem to be only two possibilities; either she died (due to murder or some other reason such as an overdose) and Mike George decided to flee given the circumstances and his previous record or the Iron Horsemen decided to get rid of Mike George as well in the wake of whatever happened. Whilst the latter seems less likely, it has been known to happen.

Mike George is alive. I was under the impression as well that he has never been seen since due to information I’ve found online. I was talking to Sheri’s son (a high school acquaintance) and he verified that Mike is very much alive. He ran into him some years ago.

Mike's brother (Joe, now deceased) and his wife Teri Viox saw her. Claims to have shot her up n she od'd. Mike, Shari and another couple with them took Shari to dump the body in KY at the other brothers house, Wayne. Rumor has it she was pregnant?

What a sad story. Again a history of domestic abuse/violence, again a missing woman. I just happen upon the stats for (ex)partner killings in The Netherlands yesterday. Almost every 8 day's there is female victim.

Someone made a memorial for Sharon at Find a Grave.

Details of Disappearance

Apgar was residing at her mother's home in Newtonsville, Ohio in 1999. She left her mother's residence on November 18, 1999 and was last seen the next day by friends at a at the Cross Country Inn (now Super 8) in the 2300 block of Royal Drive in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. She departed from the hotel, apparently to meet her ex-husband, Mike George, and and has never been heard from again. She left her son behind when she vanished.

George and Apgar had had a stormy relationship and he was involved with a motorcycle gang based in Cincinnati, Ohio. George was imprisoned twice in the 1990s, and he had just been released from custody when Apgar vanished. Apgar was reportedly very afraid of him and his gang associates, and she told her family to contact police if they didn't hear from her every day.

George disappeared at the same time Apgar did, and her family believes he may have been involved in her disappearance, but law enforcement authorities have not identified him as a suspect. They would like to speak with him, however. He is described as a brown-haired, blue-eyed man who was 36 years old at the time of his and Apgar's disappearances. He is 5'9 tall and weighs 170 pounds. Photographs of him are unavailable.

Although police have found no hard evidence of foul play in Apgar's case, her family stated she had been afraid for her life prior to her disappearance and they believe she was murdered. Apgar's parents both died after her disappearance and her son is now serving in the military. Her case remains unsolved.

Such lovely pictures of Sharon (Shari) with her son Joshua. The loss must be unbearable.

Strange the 'wrong lead' part, because the description is quit specific.
