PD: 4-month-old taken from father's car in Loveland
Infant's mother lives in Mount Healthy

Kaylynn was allegedly abducted from her father's car in the parking lot of a Dollar General store on Loveland-Madeira Road around 8:40 p.m.

She lives in Mount Healthy with her mother, but her father had custody Sunday. Her father told police someone grabbed her out of his car and took off. Police say security video at the store has not been helpful in the case.

Loveland Police do not currently have a suspect, but Sgt. Jose Alejandro said Urban Search and Rescue Team conducted a search at Kelley Nature Preserve until 4:30 a.m. Monday because they were able to ping a phone there. They have since expanded the search countywide.

Sketchy information was noted twice in the LE statement. Sketchy hmmmm? So I have to ask the question, although I believe I know the answer. If they don't know who kidnapped the child, who's cell phone pings have they followed so that they are searching a nature preserve? Sketchy indeed. I don't like the sound of this one little bit.:maddening:

You've echoed my thoughts. .I don't think this is going to end well. .I so hope I'm wrong 😕
 
I have a feeling this will be solved quickly, though not with a happy ending. (Of course, I hope it's solved quickly with a happy ending!)

This story is a bit hard to believe, isn't it? Who would steal a baby from a Dollar Store parking lot when the father, as he says, was there? I guess stranger things have happened, but I'd like to know if the store has video as a first step.

Poor, sweet thing, only four months old.
 
I'm hoping this "stolen car" isn't a coverup for something else but I'm leaning that way.
 
I'm sure most of us know what happened. I so hope this baby is found. This is so very sad.
 
Stolen from the car?! At 8:40 pm. Didn't happen. IMO. Nope. I'm not believing it. Well ... I suppose the dear baby could have been stolen by invisible aliens of the sort that know how to undo car seat buckles. That could explain why it's not showing up on surveillance video and why there is no mention of witnesses.
 
Talk about sketchy? This article was all over the place without actually saying anything.

How did person get baby out of car?

Where was father?

Did father leave her in car while he went into store?

Are stores open after 6:00 PM on Sinday night?

So the kidnapper had enough time to remove a baby in a car seat, with the dad there? Not buying it. I had kids, and used to take those seats in and out several times a day..,and it isn't ever that easy. A stranger wouldn't be able to do it quick enough, if the seat was buckled in, or if the dad was nearby. Besides, isn't it too hot to leave a baby in a car now with this heat? I think it's a hot car death being covered up.

Makes zero sense. If they don't have a suspect, who's phone were they pinging??

Good grief, how stupid do they think we are? No suspect but pinging a phone? Maybe it's the baby's phone! Riiiight. Gotcha. ��

Thank you for asking these questions Ontario Mom. I hope the 2pm presser brings answers. I am on the West Coast, so according to my calculations, Ohio is on Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), so we should expect to hear from LE in just under an hour?
