"Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was dumped at the Joondalup Health Campus, in Perth's northern suburbs.

It is believed the woman was pushed out of a car, which then sped away.'

'Police have yet to reveal the cause of death and are searching for the vehicle that dropped the woman at the hospital.

The incident happened about 3:15am.'

'Police trying to identify a woman who died after being dumped at a hospital in Perth's northern suburbs have released a description of her and images of several tattoos found on her body in a bid to solve the mystery.'

'Police have described the woman as being in her early to mid-30s, of medium-to-large build and average height, with medium-length dark hair and a nose ring.

She was wearing jeans and boots with a large wedge heel, and a black T-shirt with a white motif.

The woman had several distinctive tattoos including a Lion King tattoo on her left forearm, an Asian script on her left foot and dates for 2009 and 2011 on her legs.'

'Acting Police Commissioner Stephen Brown said police hoped the tattoos might be recognised.

"The woman is not identified," he said.'

'Police have yet to reveal the cause of death and are searching for the vehicle that dropped her at the hospital.

'Detectives from Major Crime questioned the men for several hours overnight.

They have also inspected a vehicle of interest.'

'Members of the public have identified her as a 27-year-old mother of three children.

They have told police she used to live in the Wheatbelt town of Quairading, 165 kilometres east of Perth, but moved to Perth earlier this year.'

Peta Fairhead was dumped in front of Joondalup Hospital at 3:15am Wednesday 3rd August.

"Leroy Daniel Smith was allegedly armed with a baseball bat while Lucas James Yarran allegedly had a machete when they allegedly held Ms Fairhead and two men captive at a Ridgewood home before stealing their belongings, including jewellery, mobile phones and cash.

The mother-of-three was allegedly pushed out of a car at the front entrance of Joondalup Hospital about 3.15am on Wednesday.

It is understood she had significant injuries but police have not revealed what they were."

The 27-year-old mother-of-three was found outside Joondalup Health Campus at about 3.15am after she was dumped out of a car and later died.
Seven News reports police are investigating whether Ms Fairhead was repeatedly run over by her own 4WD.
It’s believed the men forced Ms Fairhead and two other men into her Toyota Prado.
It’s unknown whether she jumped or was pushed out of the car, but she was reportedly run over by the vehicle.
She was then driven to Joondalup in her own car but could not be saved.


“It's a callous crime, it was cruel,” he said.
“She has suffered a horrendous death and we are keen to resolve it for the family members.”

'A third man charged over the murder of a woman who was dumped at the entrance of a Perth hospital has made a brief appearance in court.'

'Ross James Boag, 19, was arrested on Monday and appeared in the Joondalup Magistrates Court today to face murder, kidnapping and armed robbery charges.

Boag was remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Stirling Magistrates Court later this month alongside co-accused Lucas James Yarran, 20, and Leroy Smith, 19.'

‘Three men who dumped a critically injured 27-year old-woman outside a Perth hospital have been found guilty of robbing, kidnapping and killing her.

Key points:

• Peta Fairhead suffered her injuries when she either fell or jumped out of a car
• She and two companions had been robbed after being lured to a Ridgewood home
• Three men were convicted of manslaughter and other charges

The Supreme Court jury deliberated for two days before finding Lucas James Yarran, 21, Leroy Daniel Smith, 21, and Ross James Boag, 20, guilty of the manslaughter of mother-of-three Peta Fairhead in August 2016.’

‘[A] teenage girl, who cannot be identified because of her age, was found guilty of two counts of armed robbery.

She was granted bail until sentencing.’

‘The three men were each convicted of three counts of armed robbery, three counts of unlawfully detaining another, and one count of manslaughter.

All four will be sentenced in June.’

Three men found guilty of killing a mother-of-three who was dumped outside a Perth hospital have been given prison terms of more than 10 years each.

Yarran was sentenced to 11 years in prison, while Boag and Smith each received 10-and-a-half years.

The men, all aged in their early 20s, will be eligible for parole.

Yarran must serve nine years before being eligible for parole, while Boag and Smith must serve eight years and six months.

Their sentences were backdated to August, 2016.

A 17-year-old girl — who was 15 at the time — has been given an 18-month intensive supervision order for two counts of armed robbery.

She has two further charges before the Children's Court.
