OH Video Shows 'Vicious, Violent Attack' on Officer

I wonder what Porter was pouring out of the container he threw in the street? Odd that he went straight for the officer, and after the store video too, I wonder if he was under the influence of something. I know mental illness was mentioned at the linked page on a side captioned story.

Thank goodness the officer wasn't hurt. You can be certain some will think the officers should have talked the criminal into handing over the knife and then share a group hug. IMO

Or that police should have just driven away ("de-escalated"), while humming *advertiser censored* ba yah.

Waiting for the "peaceful protesters" to assemble in 3.....2.....1.....

Very glad the security guard and officers weren't hurt.

Here's a video of a violent attack he did on an innocent victim at a casino. He was shot then too to protect others. http://www.fox19.com/story/32721139/prosecutor-releases-video-that-shows-casino-attack
Here's a story from the victim of the casino attack after Porters last attack. She is a very forgiving individual IMO: http://www.fox19.com/story/32723664...ot-help-victim-assaulted-in-casino-speaks-out
BLM's statement of course is that the cops should of de-escalated the situation. I don't see how the police can de-escalate an active assault. Blows my mind.

From where I'm sitting, the police officer DID "de-escalate" the situation. By using their weapon to shoot the violent criminal. At that point, the violence was "de-escalated".

Appropriate use of force IS de-escalation, as well as protection of self and others. That's what peace officers are supposed to do. The social problem we currently have going on is that some feel use of force is never justified, and that violent criminals should be permitted to continue their mayhem. I think we need to re-educate the public on what the role of peace officers is, and what appropriate use of force is for. Over and over we see the protests and riots for the criminals shot, and then months later, after the lives of officers are ruined, truth in the form of evidence comes out. And police are vindicated, in the over whelming majority of shooting incidents.

IMO, it's as ridiculous as politicians lecturing the public that we just have to "get used to" civilian deaths from terrorist attacks, because they don't intend to do anything to stop the madness, for fear of "offending" the terrorists.

The world is upside down right now. That *offends* a lot of people.
