Springfield Police ask for help identifying toddler found walking in the street

The Springfield Police Department is asking for help identifying a female toddler found in northwest Springfield, according to a news release.

A woman who identified herself as the girl's mother was talking to police at about 5 p.m.

A police officer was approached at 12:19 p.m. Monday near the 700 block of W. Kerr Street by a citizen who found an unattended young girl walking down the street, the release said.

From the above link: The mother, Ariel McGlynn, said she was asleep from around 10am until 4pm (she works nights) and awoke to find her daughter missing.

Wow she needs to come over here and read up on what usually happens to little ones that "wander out of the house" while someone is sleeping. She is so dang lucky her little girl was found.
