Deputies looking for missing, endangered children

Around 5:45 Saturday evening, deputies say Stacey Williams burst into the home of her children's guardian, and took 3-year-old Rylan Williams and 1-year-old Mason Williams by force.
Authorities say Williams is the mother of the children and is homeless.

On Saturday, Sept. 17, at approximately 5:45pm, suspect Stacey Williams, 7/26/78, who is homeless, burst into the home of her children's guardian, hit the woman, and forcefully took her kids from the home. The children, 3-year-old female Rylan Williams and 1-year-old male Mason Williams, had been placed by legal court order with the victim and the mother had no legal rights to take them. Once on scene, the victim explained that the suspect texted the victim earlier insisting on seeing the children but was told no. Shortly after, the suspect barged in and told the victim not to call 911. When the victim attempted to call, the suspect grabbed the phone from her and broke it on the floor. She then grabbed the victim by the face causing scratches and redness. She picked up her children and carried them away. The victim was not able to see if she was in a vehicle at the time, however, Williams sometimes drives a white 2004 Ford Expedition with tag DNSC62. Deputies immediately responded to the area but did not locate the suspect or children. The children and suspect were also entered into FCIC/NCIC databases.

The Sheriff's Office has received information that suggests the suspect may be headed to West Virginia. We alerted the authorities there but are looking for the public's help in locating these missing children.

A warrant has been issued for Williams with charges of burglary with battery and interference with child custody-NO BOND.

If you have any information at all about this incident or the location of the children, please call 911 immediately. At this time, this situation does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

The Citrus County Sheriff responds to a comment about why no Amber Alert: primary criteria not met (she was not seen getting into a vehicle). They also comment that if/when the criteria is met, they intend to request that an Amber Alert be activated.

An Amber Alert was issued for the children Sunday night.


Investigators believe Williams may be headed to West Virginia. A warrant has been issued for Williams’ arrest on charges of burglary with battery and interference with child custody.
Anyone with information about the incident or the children’s whereabouts is asked to call 911."

"New information suggests that the children's mother, Stacey Williams, is traveling with her husband and the children's father, Ryan Williams, a white male, DOB 8/13/87. The pair have a volatile relationship and are also drug users. This elevated the missing & endangered status of the children to an Amber Alert. They may be traveling in a white 2000 Ford Expedition."

According to Citrus County public court records both suspects are scheduled for multiple hearings on 9/22. Maybe this was their motive behind this. Let's hope those babies are found safe and quickly. Still looking for DCF's involvement, if any, with this family.
