Taalibah was last seen by her ex-boyfriend and father of her child, Christopher Revill. Revill reported her missing, saying she left their baby with him and she got in a car with an unknown male and did not return. Taalibah's case is now receiving media attention because Chris Revill has been arrested on charges he kidnapped another ex-girlfriend, Typhenie Johnson. Chris Revill told the same story about Typhenie--that she got in a car with an unknown man. Typhenie's thread is here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-Typhenie-Johnson-25-Ft-Worth-10-October-2016

FORT WORTH A Fort Worth man held on a kidnapping charge in connection with the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend had another ex-girlfriend vanish a decade ago.
Taalibah Islam, with whom Christopher Revill had a son, was last seen in January 2006.

According to that report, Revill told police that he last saw Islam, who at the time was his ex-girlfriend, five days earlier when she and their child visited him in the 1900 block of Bay Oaks Court.
Revill told police that Islam left the residence, leaving the baby behind, and got into a vehicle with an unknown person and left. He told police that he believed she would come back for the baby but that no one had heard from her since.

He told police it was “unusual” for Islam to be gone so long without calling about the baby.

Islam has never been found.

Fort Worth police confirm they’re also looking at Revill’s connection to the 2006 disappearance of a different Fort Worth woman.

He was never considered a suspect in the disappearance of Taalibah Islam, but did report her missing to authorities at the time. The two had a child together.

That case is still an open investigation of a missing person as she was never found. Pollozani said they would be taking another look at it.

Revill has an extensive criminal history including convictions for robbery and assault. He was sentenced to five years in prison in 2013, but was paroled in July 2015.

Included in that criminal history is a 2008 arrest and conviction for biting the arm of an Irving Police officer who responded to a call of a man holding a shotgun. Revill's friends told officers he had been drinking and holding a loaded weapon, causing enough fear to warrant calling 911.

“It’s the same thing that happened,” said Hadiyah Islam whose sister was reported missing in 2006. “It’s the same story that happened, you know, so many years ago with my sister! And he’s telling the exact same story which is she got into the car with someone else after they had the argument, you know?”

The last time the Islam family saw Taalibah Islam was in January 2006. And they say the last person they saw her with was Christopher Revill. And, just like in the missing person case of Johnson, Revill is on record with police saying the last time he saw Islam she was getting into a car with someone he didn’t know.

“He called crying saying she’s not here anymore she’s not here anymore,” Islam recalled. “And I said, ‘Well where is she?’ And he said, ‘She left. And I haven’t seen her since’.”

Police verify Revill filed a missing report with police but could not say if he was a suspect or person of interest in the unsolved case.

Hadiyah Islam said Revill had a baby boy with her sister. The boy is now ten years old and has been raised by an aunt.

When asked if she thinks Revill murdered her sister, Islam took a deep breath and responded softly, “Yes.”

"The story he said, 'She just got in the car and she left,' and I was like, 'Ding!' that's what he told us," said Hadiyah Islam.

Hadiyah is the sister of Taalibah Islam, who she said was dating Christopher Revill 10 years ago when she went missing. The couple had a child together, but then he started to hit Taalibah, her sister recalled.

"Once the relationship became abusive, he was not allowed around us," she said.

Taalibah continued the relationship, and the last time her family saw her was when she was leaving with her son to stay at Revill's home for a few days.

"Four days later, I get a phone call say, like, she's not here anymore. And I'm like, 'Well, where is she?' And he's like, 'I don't know, she's just not here,'" Hadiyah recalled.

She said Revill dropped his son off with her family, and they haven't heard from him since. He never helped in the search for Taalibah, and while the family did not initially suspect him, they now believe he was involved in her disappearance.

"For her to leave and leave her son, I didn't believe it," Hadiyah said. "He had to have done something."

I'm wondering if the reason he is not telling where Typhenie is, is because he's left her near Taalibah and he knows if they find one young lady, they'll find the other and he'll go down for both. I feel so bad for both of these poor families!

Since police arrested Revill on Tuesday for suspicion of kidnapping, investigators learned another of his ex-girlfriends, Taalibah Islam disappeared 10 years ago under similar circumstances.

“That case was never closed, so any leads that we can obtain through this investigation that we can tie into that investigation will be useful in hopefully closing that case,” Fort Worth Police Officer Marc Povero said.

For now, the focus remains finding Johnson, but even her mother feels for another family grieving.

“And even though it’s a hard and difficult time for us, if there’s any good that would come out of this besides bringing her home, it’s that we could bring some closure to the Islam family,” Deborah Johnson Strub said.

Nothing really new but People has another new article, some interesting bits:
Police told NBC DFW that nothing had linked Revill to Islam’s disappearance, but since his arrest, “That investigation is going in a different direction.”

Not long after Revill’s arrest in Johnson’s disappearance, police conducted a search of his home and found a broken bra clasp and a damaged smart watch, according to charging documents.

Revill has denied knowing where Johnson could be or what may have happened to her, according to arrest records. He has not entered a plea and does not have an attorney on file, according to court officials.

BBM.

I hope LE is finding new evidence to lead them to Taalibah.

In a news conference Monday, The Next Generation Action Network and the families of two missing women asked the Fort Worth Police Department to involve the state and federal investigators in the search for the women.
NGAN officials asked the department to request help from state authorities and the FBI in the search for Typhenie Johnson, who was last seen Oct. 10 at the Post Oak East Apartments in Fort Worth, and Taalibah Islam, who vanished in January 2006.

"After deliberating for less than an hour on Thursday, a Tarrant County jury found a 35-year-old man guilty of aggravated kidnapping for causing his ex-girlfriend to disappear nearly three years ago. A judge then sentenced him to life in prison.

The trial for Typhenie Johnson’s abductor, Christopher Revill, 35, began Aug. 12.

Deborah Johnson, Typhenie Johnson’s mother, said she cried a little after Revill’s sentence was read. Members of the jury, and Johnson’s other relatives, cheered and hugged in the gallery after the sentencing verdict was read."
