CA CA - Billy Grondalski and family, Fort Bragg, 5 October 1986

In early October 1986, Billy Grondalski moved his family to Fort Bragg CA in an effort to quit the Hells Angels. On 5 October, he, his wife Patti, 5-year-old daughter Dallas, and 17-year-old stepson Jeremy Vandagriff were murdered by two Hells Angels, Charles Anthony Diaz and Gerald Lester. Mendocino County Sheriff's Lieutenant Phil Pintane won a well-deserved CA Dept of Justice Commendation for finally solving the case 18 years later.

Diaz’s murderous co-defendant, Gerald Michael “Butch” Lester, age 75, the former Vallejo chapter president, is still alive and continues to serve a state prison sentence of life without the possibility of parole at the California State Prison Solano.
