Officials tell crews at the scene say they are searching for a Red Cadillac SUV that was parked at the church around the time the Gomez went missing.

At this time, it's unknown if it is connected to her disappearance.

We are told Gomez is not known to be a "trouble maker," and that running off if "very out of character.

Amber Alert issued for missing 10-year-old girl

A nation-wide Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-year-old who went missing from a Bullard church Tuesday night.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
A nation-wide Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-year-old who went missing from a Bullard church Tuesday night.

Kayla Gomez went missing around 8 p.m. from Bullard First Assembly located on U.S. Highway 69, according to the Bullard Police Department. She was last seen wearing a black Racquet & Jog t-shirt and a peach skirt.

At this time, police and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office are searching for a red Cadillac SRX sport utility vehicle with dark-tinted windows and unknown license plates that was seen in the church parking lot. The vehicle's connection to the child's disappearance is not known.

Circumstances are unclear but they know they're looking for the red Caddy. I wonder if it was just seen in the area or if someone actually saw her in it. Has anyone read why she was at the church at 8 pm on a school night? Was there a party at church? Typically week day services are on Wednesday night so I would guess there was not a ' service'.

My kids had AWANA during the week, so maybe it was something like that, a youth group. If it was advertised on the sign out front like a lot of churches have, a predator could have been waiting for an opportunity to grab a child, which is terribly frightening.

I don't believe that is a Cadiilac Srx in the photo at the church, back windows don't look like the Cadillac's. After looking a a lot of photos, I think it's different make/model.

The car in that past image of the church parking lot looks like a Chevy Equinox to me:

The Cadillac SRX is a very angular looking suv. My mother drives one and it is hard to mistake that vehicle for another, particularly here in East Texas where it seems like everyone drives a large SUV or a truck.

I live about 10 min from the church. Prayers for this little girl.

Side note, I passed a red SRX pulling out of my neighborhood yesterday afternoon at around 5pm. I'm going to have to check around and see if one of my neighbors owns one or if someone was creeping around here.
