Houston County Sheriff Department requests assistance in locating a missing female.
The missing person is white female Amanda Bond ( Anderson ). The missing person is in relation to the stand off on East Saunders Road.

This local to me. Still no word as to whether she has been found . That article from Dothan First is the most current I've heard. We have very poor news reporting here.

This is local for me too. The reports released so far are limited but imply that officials suspect that she is deceased. However, her body has not been found. It is gut-wrenching to think of her family. I hope for some information, closure, and peace for them soon!

A Houston County man who beat a woman with lumber has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance for parole.

Joshua Crawford Tew, 33, pleaded guilty last week to Capital Murder in the death of Amanda Bond. The decision comes a few days before he would have gone on trial and faced the death penalty.
