'The daughter of a Macedonian woman, who was found bludgeoned to death in her home at The Gap in Brisbane's west, has been charged with her murder.

The 20-year-old is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The body of Radica Zafirovska, 54, was found on the second storey of her house last Friday morning.

Her daughter called police after allegedly discovering her mother's body.'

'The daughter of a Macedonian woman found bludgeoned to death at her Brisbane home has been excused from appearing in court charged with murder.

University student Simona Zafirovska, 20, was arrested late on Thursday by detectives investigating the death of her 54-year-old mother, Radica Zafirovska.'

'Defence lawyer Neil Lawler told a brief hearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning he did not require his client's appearance in court.

Speaking outside court, Mr Lawler said a mental health assessment would be completed on Simona Zafirovska in the coming days.'

'Simona Zafirovska was remanded in custody to appear in court again on November 28.'

Simona Zafirovska, 21, was committed on Wednesday in Brisbane Magistrates Court to stand trial for the crime.

Ms Zafirovska did not enter a plea to the murder charge. She will stand trial in the Supreme Court on a date to be determined.
