There is no activity on B’s Facebook page, which is unusual for her, according to the post. It also says that though Carver is not typically active on Facebook, his profile picture was changed Sept. 6, and recent posts are “uncharacteristic of ones typically made by Charlie.”

Several postings on Carver’s Facebook page say the couple is fine and they simply left. The posts appeared after the couple was reported missing. Both B’s and Carver’s families said that they believe the Facebook account has been hacked. They said the photos that the person is using were posted more than a year ago, and the wording doesn’t sound like Carver.

On April 19, four months before the kidnapping, Kohlhepp replied to a post that reads: '(People need) to start appreciating the effort I put in to not be a serial killer.'
Kohlhepp chillingly responded to the post: 'Why? Serial killers need love, too.'

[...]

About two weeks after B went missing, Kohlhepp posted on his Facebook about 'filling ravines' on his property.

[...]

Between the start of July and the end of August, he only posted nine times, mostly showing properties that Kohlhepp - a realtor - was selling.

But in September he posted more than 40 times - sometimes multiple times a day, and more frequently about his feelings and thoughts on life.

The first post in this more active phase is on August 31, the day after the couple disappeared, in which he appears to have been focusing on the news.

An Anderson couple has been reported missing by friends and family members, who say the 30-year-old woman and her boyfriend have not been seen or heard from since Aug. 31.

KB’s close friend told police that she had dinner with B on Aug. 29 at her apartment in Anderson Crossing Apartments. She said she spoke to B the next day, but after a text on the morning of Aug. 31, all communication ceased. The woman said B’s boyfriend, 32-year-old Charles Carver, was also missing.

Woman missing since August found 'chained like a dog,' sheriff says

A woman reported missing in August along with her boyfriend has been found held captive "chained like a dog" since her disappearance, the sheriff said, and a registered sex offender has been arrested in connection with the investigation.

KB, 30, and Charlie Carver, 32, of Anderson County, were reported missing Aug. 31.

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said deputies found B Thursday morning on a property on Wofford Road in Spartanburg County where she had been held against her will.

Deputies were searching the property when they heard B banging from inside a metal storage container. Wright said that information from a sex crime investigator led them to the property.

-----------------------------------

The man accused of chaining a woman in a storage container for weeks had a violent past and was "preoccupied with sexual content" from a young age, according to details emerging as investigators search his rural property for bodies.

Teams digging on the property found one body Friday and feared there could be more.

The 45-year-old at the center of that investigation, Todd Christopher Kohlhepp, stood with his hands clasped behind his back as he was arraigned Friday on a charge of kidnapping K, 30.

Authorities are not prepared to say whether the body buried in a shallow grave on the property near Woodruff is that of Carver or someone else. Nor have authorities determined whether the individual had been shot, Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said at a late-afternoon press conference.

Sheriff: Kohlhepp confesses to 2003 Superbike murders, shows investigators 2 gravesites on property

In an additional press conference later Saturday evening, Sheriff Chuck Wright shared new details on the investigation. Sheriff Wright said four warrants had been served to Todd Kohlhepp after he confessed to 2003 murders of four motorists.

Wright also shared that Todd Kohlhepp lead them to "things no one else would know," and that he shared the locations of two additional gravesites of victims on his Woodruff property.
Sheriff Wright said investigators had not yet located the 2 additional bodies believed to be on Kohlhepp's property.
He shared that Todd Kohlhepp had been cooperative with the investigation thus far. Sheriff Wright also said that Kohlhepp told authorities he didn't know how KB and Charles David Carver ended up on his property.

Accused kidnapper's coworkers shocked, in disbelief

One employee "said he would discuss his Woodruff property daily and would never be reachable after 6 p.m. He had plans to build a home on the property."

Another said, "He got mad at the hunters who tried to still hunt on his property, but that's why he put the fence up."

TK "was adamant that people stayed off his property." A neighbor said, "When he first bought the land I met him and told him I had hunted here before. He told me, 'Well, your hunting days are over."

A bad review on Todd's real estate business

"Todd Kohlhepp was absolutely useless in trying to sell my home. He took advantage of the fact that I lived out of state and hired a contractor on my behalf, who stole over $10,000 from me and never completed the work.
Todd knew Hunter Henry (the contractor) didn’t do the work and yet Todd gave him my $10,000. After all that and Todd sent me threatening emails and physical threats. He is a menace and a thief!"

[h=1]Kohlhepp's Facebook posts about land where KB was held increased after she went missing[/h]
In Facebook posts days after an Anderson couple went missing, Todd Kohlhepp posted several photos and status updates about the land where police say they found a woman chained in a storage container.

In one post, Kohlhepp implied his work on the land was keeping him from "getting in trouble."

"You won't have time to misbehave no mo," Kohlhepp wrote on Sept. 11, while [KB] was apparently chained by the neck and ankles in a storage container on his land, according to local police.
Kohlhepp also joked about reports of missing people in the news not actually being missing, saying "Oh wait...that person just went to the beach with friend, other person found with her parole violation boyfriend." Friends of [KB] and [KB]'s boyfriend Charlie Carver, who is still missing, had told media outlets that Carver's Facebook account had been posting suspicious updates and sending private messages that they believed to be from someone else. Those updates and messages included one quickly deleted photo captioned "we are fine" and messages saying that only one person knew where he was.

[h=3]Court documents highlight troubled past of man accused of holding Anderson woman captive[/h]
PHOENIX, AZ (FOX Carolina) - Court documents are shedding new light on the background of Todd Kohlhepp, who was arrested Thursday after a missing Anderson woman was found on his property in chains.
The documents detail Kohlhepp's high intelligence, behavioral and emotional problems, and troubled family life leading up to the the sex crime from the 1980s that he pleaded guilty to as a teenager.
FOX Carolina obtained hundreds of pages of paperwork from Maricopa County, Arizona, where Kohlhepp was accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in November of 1986, when he was 15 years old. He pleaded guilty to kidnapping in the case and has been registered as a sex offender since then. His prison sentence started a year later in November of 1987 and continued until his release in 2001. The pages paint a picture of an angry, troubled teen who exhibited behavioral problems dating back to his time in Spartanburg County District 3 Schools, where he attended as a child.

Transfer money to a girl he is helping raise to play for college, according to the Spartanburg Herald Journal

http://www.goupstate.com/news/20161107/sheriff-kohlhepp-met-with-mother-before-superbike-confession

Wright said after Kohlhepp was taken into custody, he asked him if he could grant him a few requests: to give his mother a picture of himself; to transfer money to a girl he is helping raise, to pay for her college education; and to allow him to speak with his mother.

Wright said he agreed to those three wishes, and it was four to five hours after Kohlhepp met with his mother that he confessed to the Superbike murders.
