Oh my, it's been such a long, long time. She'd be collecting the pension now. Is there still hope?

Hope of solving the case? Possibly. Hope that she's still alive? Not really. She was most likely killed the day she was abducted. I would approach this case by looking for records of similar abductions or abduction attempts. Since the abductor got away with it once, maybe he tried again later; maybe he was eventually nailed for a similar crime.

Here's one possibility: https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/13687

This Jane Doe was only dead for 4 days, found in Oct 1967, less than 2 hours away from where Adele went missing. Perhaps she wasn't killed as a result of her abduction, or immediately afterward.
If Namus states the UP has a recognizable face, is it possible they have a picture somewhere?

Here's a news video from 2014 about her disappearance.

Police stated they had reliable reports of a young man carrying a small girl to a dirty black Chevrolet, between eight and ten years old, which was near the creek on Lewis Street. The man is described as a light-skinned African-American wearing a gray coat and red socks.

He has never been identified and it's unclear whether he was Adele's abductor, but other children who attended her school said the driver of a car fitting that description tried to lure them into the vehicle in the days preceding Adele's disappearance.

Adele is part of a family of nine; her father was a factory worker in Flint at the time of her disappearance. Her case remains unsolved.

My dad grew up on the same block as Adele and was in the search party. My aunts were friends with Adele’s sister Dora (Do-Do). He was also almost kidnapped on that same block one night when he was 7 by a man in a red Buick. Luckily his brother ran home and got their uncle, who came searching for him. That man was never caught either.

It looks like they kept her till she reached maturity, and then disposed of her. :(

What do you think? See the dent in the forehead?
