"Police were called to an apartment complex in Freeport, about 50 miles southwest of Galveston near the Gulf of Mexico, Tuesday night after a report of a two-month-old boy who wasn’t breathing. Paramedics took the boy to the hospital and he was later pronounced dead.
An aunt told the station the boyfriend of the child’s mother was watching the infant. Police say he was also watching two other children."

He goes by two names so it's a bit confusing. The Freeport Police Department posted an update on their FB page about 4 hours ago: "UPDATE - the actual name of the person below is Antoine Allen Gorman. His date of birth is 4/24/1989, he is 5'10 and weighs 150 pounds. We now have three warrants for his arrest: 3 counts of Abandoning or Endangering a Child. The three warrants (#2210) each have a $250,000 bond. Additional charges are likely once the medical examiner determines a cause of death of the baby, following the autopsy that will take place this morning."

A Louisiana man dunked his girlfriend’s infant son in toilet water before abandoning the 7-week-old and two other children in a Freeport apartment last fall, documents allege.

A Brazoria County grand jury this week indicted Antoine Allen Gorman, 27, on one count of first-degree felony injury to a child, according to documents provided by District Attorney Jeri Yenne’s office.

Documents allege Gorman grabbed baby Malachi Nelson by the foot and dunked his head underwater in a toilet, as well as shook him, while he was watching the baby and his older siblings Nov. 22.

The charge carries the same penalty range as murder, Yenne said.

“In this particular case, given the complication of the issues, we were able to document the serious bodily injury cause but not necessarily say it’s specific to one incident,” she said. “It’s not unusual for us to seek felony injury to a child. The burden of proof is easier and it’s the same penalty range.”

A man in Texas has been sentenced to life in prison after he killed his ex-girlfriend’s baby by holding him upside down and dunking him multiple times in the toilet.

Antoine Gorman, 28, was charged and found guilty of murder after the seven-week- old baby Malachi Nelson died in the November 2016 incident in Freeport.

"I hate him and I hope he rots in hell," said Tashiay Nelson, the mother of Malachi Nelson.

"He was shooting the finger at us the whole time. Looking back at us, laughing, playing with his hair the whole time. Being disrespectful. He wasn't showing no remorse or nothing," she said.
