The Greenwood Police Department is asking for public assistance in locating a woman last seen in the city of Greenwood a couple days before Thanksgiving.

There were rumors that she has was found but LE cannot substantiate these.

I did a quick google street view of the area. The SV is from 2012 and it looks a little rural and rough. I can't see 5 years being any kinder to some of the houses you see. There is lots of forested or tree areas very close to the street names they gave.

Kelley, 45, was last seen Nov. 23 near the intersection of Gage Street and Tanyard Avenue. She is 5-foot-6, weighs about 105 pounds and has blue eyes and light brown hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a light-colored hooded sweatshirt.

A fisherman recently found hair while fishing in Ware Shoals which is nearby Greenwood, SC. LE hasn't found anything, but I wonder if this might be connected. I hope not.

Search for Rhonda Kelley continues a year later

State and city officers are still searching for Rhonda Gail Kelley, a year after she was reported missing.

In August, Greenwood police received help from the State Law Enforcement Division in their investigation — the agency’s behavioral science unit has been helping analyze interviews, said Greenwood Police Department Public Information Officer Jonathan Link.

The behavioral scientists have helped sift through people of interest to the investigation, looking for nonverbal cues and determining if people are giving true accounts based on their behavior, Link said.

As help came from SLED, police started a Facebook profile dedicated to the investigation, at facebook.com/FindRhondaKelly.

The victim has been identified through DNA as Kelli Marie Hastings, 45, of Summer Ave. in North Charleston, according to the coroner’s office.
