Idaho man with troubled past killed in Missouri
November 19, 2005 11:42 AM
The Associated Press
BOISE, Idaho A former northern Idaho man has been killed in Missouri.
Trever Lee Rogers was shot last weekend in Joplin, and two men have been arrested and face possible murder charges.
Rogers had apparently gone to Missouri after being released several months ago from an Idaho jail, where he'd served a sentence after being arrested for alleged burglary.
....
In 2003, the 33-year-old held police at bay for seven hours at a Conoco station in Sagle, Idaho _ apparently over a dispute with a girlfriend.
Then, in early 2004, he provided information to authorities in the case of a Sandpoint businessman accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill a former business associate.
Bonner County Chief Public Defender Hugh Nisbet says a drug-related dispute in Missouri may have led to Rogers being shot in the head with a 243-caliber bolt-action rifle.
