A 31 year old black male, Nick McCray, reportedly left Detroit, MI, around the 15th of October. He apparently told his mother he was going to North Dakota but it is not known whether or not he actually did. He last spoke to his mother and posted to social media on the 16th or 17th of November, and may possibly have then been travelling back to Detroit from North Dakota or Ohio.

He has been entered as missing from Bismarck, ND, but that appears to just be a default for the state of ND:

No vehicle information is entered at this time.

Wondering if there is a stronger connection specifically to Bismarck, ND, then what has been publicly released. The Namus page indicates the investigating agency is the Bismarck Police Department, and the listed contact number comes back to them.

Not the clearest picture of dude. His FB page,

he has a new baby daughter. dang. hope her daddy comes home.

I'll share this with the one guy I know out in the Bakken fields. Maybe he can repost it to some of the boards/on-line hangouts those guys use.

There's a Facebook post dated 4/11 from his brother (?) saying he was murdered in North Dakota. I cannot find MSM or obituary.

Someone with an anonymous profile on Facebook confessed to one of Nick's friends that he was murdered by Indians on the reservation he was working near Dunseith, North Dakota (likely belonging to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians). Nick (likely his skeletal remains by now) is still missing on a back road in Dunseith, according to this anonymous confession. Screenshots of the confession were given to the local police department and his case is now in the hands of the FBI.
