Queensland coroner to reopen investigation into Warriena Wrights balcony death
The case was referred back to State Coroner Terry Ryan, who this week confirmed his investigation in Ms Wrights death had reopened.
.....
Any charges are (then) a matter for the DPP.
According to the newspaper, legal sources said a charge such as deprivation of liberty could be recommended.

Ahh, it's all finally making sense, the coroner can't hold an inquest until the criminal proceedings have ended. If the coroner thinks an offence has occurred, they must past this information on to the DPP. The tide is turning.
