The Lenexa Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a man who hasn't been seen since Tuesday.

Police said 53-year-old Randy Potter left his home in Lenexa for work around 7 a.m. Tuesday and hasn't been in contact with family or friends since then.

Seems like this might be an accident, given weather conditions. It's so odd how there is no information about his route to work.

"Police say body found by search party (looking for Jessica Runions) at 53rd/S Brighton was male. Investigating as suspicious death."

Early Tuesday morning Matthew said he heard his dad feed the family dog before he left. He said he presumed his dad headed to work as normal.

Carolina Potter, Potter’s wife of 25 years, said her husband’s work clothes he laid out are still at home and he never put them on. She said she believes he left the house in pajamas and slippers, which she said isn’t like him at all.

“It just doesn’t add up,” she said.

Potter’s family said they want to organize a search effort for him this weekend.*

Another body has been found in KC, though not in Lenexa. Still, I wonder.

"Relatives of Jessica Runions found the man’s body while searching in fields and brush along a roadway Saturday in southeast Kansas City, Missouri. Police said the discovery was being investigated as a suspicious death, but no details have been released."

Brandon Herring (Raytown) was found at Swope Park. That makes sense geographically. Was he found while searching for Jessica? Body 1?

This second body... Lenexa to a little bit north of Swope Park where it was found seems like a stretch. Unless foul play. Or drugs, which you wouldn't have to drive that far to get. I don't know. Sigh...

Where are you , Randy?

This is so strange, and no update about him missing.

I'm baffled about the work clothes still being laid out, and they think he left home wearing pajamas and slippers. Not sure what to think at this point. Hope he is found soon.

Right? Makes me wonder what meds he was taking while home sick. Some OTC meds can make you pretty spaced out/ loopy, especially after a few days.

Agreed. Having the flu can do the same. I'm wondering if he may have fed the dog and then decided to run to a pharmacy for meds. I'm trying now to find out from the family which stores he might have frequented. I mapped his home to work route. It's 11 miles and through very dense population. The chances of his driving off the road where his truck cannot be seen are very slim. This is baffling.
