I wish I knew but unfortunately I don't know much more than what's already been released. I'm not sure why they aren't saying where he was :/. All I know is he was out for drinks downtown(market square), trying to figure out which bar. Koty is living in Pittsburg because he attends university there but most of his family does not live in PA, but they traveled to Pittsburg so hopefully there will be more info soon.

What worries me is that if he tried to walk home I believe he would have had to cross the river.

I hope Dakota is found soon.

I'm a local, and anytime someone goes missing downtown it worries me. Especially if he had been drinking. It's not hard to end up in one of the rivers.

Hope the police release additional details soon.

There are cameras all over there - they must know at least which direction he went? It would help if we knew the bar or at least near - was it Liberty or 5th? I hope this doesn't end up as drawn out as Zach Marr.

James was last seen around 11:30 Wednesday night in the area near Market Square. The family says police told them his cell phone pinged in the area near Grant Street around that time as well.

James is believed to have finished work at Station Square before making his way to meet a friend downtown. It is unclear when exactly James got lost.

Getting some more info

According to family members, Dakota was last seen Wednesday night with a female friend at 941 Saloon on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. Family said Dakota had a few too many drinks and was asked to leave the bar. They said they know he walked outside, but are uncertain as to what happened after he walked out of the bar. Monday, they were putting signs up all over the city, hoping that people will see Dakota, recognize him and call police.
