State police have been searching a property in the 500 block of Lancaster Pike (Route 272) this week for possible evidence related to the disappearance of a Quarryville man.

[...]

Police declined to release details as to what specifically led them to the property or whether Myers has any connection to a male tenant who rents the house there.

Relatives angry as southern Lancaster County yard dug up in search for missing man

http://lancasteronline.com/news/loc...cle_3d0a866a-e658-11e6-931d-7b0da1f0010b.html

I went on Craigslist to order firewood in October and oddly enough the person who answered the phone asked me to contact her via Facebook because she was busy, and at that point I realized she was an old childhood friend I knew from my hometown near Philadelphia. I was so excited at this weird occurence, so when I realized she lived so close to me I called and went over to the house to see where she lived, catch up and to pay for the wood they were to deliver. While I was there she and a friend of heres were mentioning a guy that they had living with them at the time that was acting "weird and shady". They were saying that he had an open court case going on and that some people in their group of friends thought he was an informant. They were extremely paranoid and it was one of the most uncomfortable feelings I've ever had. Needless to say she wasn't the same person I recalled as a teenager and I left feeling extremely uncomfortable, and haven't spoken to her since. She was dating the guy who owned the home. I just saw on the news recently that a yard was being dug up to look for evidence of a missing person and it was his house I met her at.

Yikes, very eerie....

I grew up in Lancaster County. Lots of quiet, open space (farmland, fields, woods)... Not all that hard to find privacy for shady doings.

From Facebook, states JM is her cousin, still has not been found as of today... 😞

"Officials mum on whether they believe discovery of body in Providence Township is tied to case of missing Quarryville man"
May 7, 2017 Updated 48 min ago
"State police are investigating after a body was discovered Saturday evening in Providence Township.

Hikers found the human remains about 7 p.m. near a creek in a wooded area west of the 200 block of Mount Airy Road, according to Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni.
...
The area where the body was found is about a half-mile from a property in the 500 block of Lancaster Pike, where authorities conducted a search in January for a missing Quarryville man.

Justin Myers, 29, was last seen Oct. 29 and was reported missing to police Jan. 4.

On Sunday, officials declined to say if they believe the remains are those of Myers.
...
Myers occasionally stayed with an acquaintance in a rental home there and was last seen in that area."

Mr. Waters (the property owner) chops wood to heat his home. His grandson hunts in the area where the remains were reportedly found.

"I haven't see anything suspicious in the last couple months," Waters said.

Interesting comments he made there. Could be nothing but the wording to me sticks out funny.
