Amber Alert after toddler taken from Port Richey daycare

The sheriff's office believes Bane Wheeler was taken from his daycare along U.S. 19 just before 10 this morning in what deputies called "possible custodial interference."

Bane is described as 3 feet tall and 30 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a green jacket, black and blue plaid shirt, dark pants, and black tennis shoes. He has a scar on the middle of his forehead and a skintag on the inside of his left bicep.

The toddler was last seen with his father Daniel Wheeler, 30, around 10 a.m. Tuesday after Daniel picked him up from the Cedarview Learning Center

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said they believe Wheeler took Bane from a daycare around 10 a.m. Bane uses a nebulizer and is currently suffering from croup, the sheriff's office said.


Anyone with information is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office at 727-847-5878 or 911.

The father had Tennessee plates on his truck ? I'm not a detective or anything, but they might want to notify the Highway Patrol anywhere along I-75, from Florida to Chattanooga, Tn.

It is on the electric highway message signs already. In East Tennessee anyway.

I hope the Father gets the child medical help for his croup. That can be very dangerous---especially if he needs an inhaler or a nebulizer.

That's my thoughts also! Croup can be life threatening if not treated properly.
Poor little guy isn't feeling good and now all this is going on. I'm sure he's scared and confused.

Got the Amber Alert while at work (ever hear a whole office of vibrating phones due to an Amber Alert?)

I sort of suspected a parent was involved, I hope this little boy gets the medical attention he needs. So sorry for him, such a cute little guy.
