Nicole “Nicky” Shante Moore, 28, has been missing since Dec. 6, 2016.

She had been driving a dark blue 2012 Cadillac STS before she was reported missing.

That vehicle was found on the parking lot of Toys R Us on Soncy on Jan.*6., and police believe the car may have been parked there for some time.

This article says missing since December 6th of 2016! Why is she reported missing 2 months later? Who missed her at Christmas and New Years? Why was she not reported earlier? So many questions here and very little info!

This article states her car was found a month ago!
Why is there not any info on this young lady for 2 months?

The article seems to suggest she could be missing voluntarily just by the way they are wording the article. Statements such as: "According to police, she may also be using the last name Casey or Mason." (present tense)

and: "She had been driving a dark blue 2012 Cadillac STS before she was reported missing." As if she could be driving something different now?

I wonder who reported her missing? Is she from the area? Was she married....children?????

Primary suspect identified in Nicole Moore's disappearance: http://amarillo.com/news/local-news...illy-glenn-ivy-jr-believed-be-primary-suspect

Court documents filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas say that Ivy Jr. is the “primary suspect” in what courts are calling a murder investigation regarding missing woman Nicole “Nicky” Shante Moore, who has been missing since Dec. 2.

Moore’s car was found shortly after, abandoned in the Toys R Us parking lot on Soncy Road. Court documents stated that officials believe Moore is dead.

Ivy has not been charged in the case.

The documents, which were originally filed May 8, show that Ivy and Moore were known associates, and she made comments to friends on Dec. 2 that she was making a trip with “Billy” to pick up marijuana. Moore reportedly told friends she was “afraid” to go with Billy and tried to get someone to go with her.

Phone records showed that Moore and Ivy’s phones met near Soncy Road and Interstate 40 on the night in question, then headed west together on I-40, court documents stated. The court papers also showed that Moore’s phone last connected with a phone tower near Ivy’s ranch in rural Oldham County.

Cold Case: APD Working to Find Missing People From Amarillo

[...]

Nicole Moore has been missing since December 2016 and police say leads haven't gotten them far.

"We've spoken to Nicole Moore's family, we've spoken to friends and several people trying to locate her," said Cpl. Jeb Hilton, with the Amarillo Police Department.

Officials have located Nicole's car, which was found in the Toys R Us parking lot and have found where her cell phone last pinged.

"Last year in April our Special Crimes detective did get new information on the last location of her cell phone. In December of 2016, her cell phone was on the northwest corner of Ivy Ranch. They went out to that location and searched, they have not been able to locate her at this point," added Hilton.

Corporal Hilton tells us while police were searching the area where Moore's phone last went off they found an abandoned truck.

That truck belonged to a missing man, Bobby Lee Johns.

"Johns is a 65-year-old male, was last seen around June 9th of 2018 and again we've got no loads as to where he might be. We haven't heard from, we've got no leads as to his whereabouts," said Hilton.

In June, police said Johns is believed to be in danger.

Hilton tells us detectives are actively working both cases and also continue to work Dorien Thomas' case.

Nicole Shante Moore – The Charley Project

Last updated February 25, 2021; details of disappearance updated.

Details of Disappearance
Moore was last seen in Amarillo, Texas on December 2, 2016. She has never been heard from again. She was driving a dark blue 2012 Cadillac STS at the time of her disappearance; a photo of it is posted with this case summary. The Cadillac was found abandoned in the parking lot of a Toys R Us store in the 2400 block of south Soncy Road on January 6, 2017; it appeared to have been there for some time.

Billy Glenn Ivy Jr. is the prime suspect in her case. A photo of Ivy is posted with this case summary. He was imprisoned after her disappearance an unrelated weapons charge. After his release in April 2020, he was charged with capital murder by terror/threat in Moore's case and capital murder by remuneration in the death of another woman, Charlesetta Telford, and her unborn child. The prosecution planned to seek the death penalty in both murders. In September 2020, while awaiting trial in those cases, Ivy died of a drug overdose in jail.

Moore and Ivy knew each other, and on December 2, she had told others she was going to make a trip with "Billy" to purchase marijuana. She said she was "afraid" to go on the trip and wanted someone else to go with her. Cellular phone records show that Moore and Ivy's phones met near Soncy Road and Interstate 40 that night, then headed west on Interstate 40. Moore's phone last pinged off a phone tower near Ivy's ranch in rural Oldham County, Texas, near the town of Adrian, on December 2. It was turned off after that and hasn't been used since.

When police searched the area where Moore's phone last pinged, they found an abandoned truck. It belonged to Bobby Lee Johns, a 65-year-old man who disappeared on June 9, 2018 and has never been found. Investigators don't know if his case is connected to Moore's disappearance, but Johns is believed to be in danger.

Authorities initially thought Moore was in New Mexico, but they now believe she only made it as far as Adrian. She left behind a teenage son. Foul play is suspected in her case due to the circumstances involved.

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – At the beginning of December 2016, then-28-year-old Nicole “Nikki” Moore was seen for the last time. Despite the involvement of at least a dozen law enforcement agencies and the arrest and indictment of Billy Ivy, Jr. for his alleged involvement in her death, Moore’s family and friends have not yet been able to bury her.

As noted in previous reports on MyHighPlains.com, court documents described Moore as an associate of Ivy’s that was leaving to travel with him on Dec. 2, 2016, though the documents state she told another person she was afraid to do so.

More at Texas woman remains still missing after 6 years
