Family of a missing mother-of-seven who vanished in 1998 make a fresh plea to find her so she can meet her newborn granddaughter

Patricia Lashley went missing from Dudley in the West Midlands in 1998
Now the family of Ms Lashley have put out a fresh appeal hoping to trace her
Eldest son of Ms Lashley hopes to introduce her to newborn granddaughter
Ms Lashley was also know as Pat, Jade, Vanessa or Tricia and had links to Newcastle, London, Wales and Scotland

Ms Lashley - known to friends as Pat or Jade - was last seen at her flat in Hall Street, Dudley, but was known to have links to Newcastle, London, Wales and Scotland.

She moved to Dudley three years before her disappearance and was known to frequent the town's No Limits club and pubs in the area.

Despite officers carrying out a series of searches and trawling through a mass of information they are still to trace Ms Lashley - who would now be aged 51 and may also have used the surname Bradford and first names Jade, Vanessa or Tricia.

Police appeal for missing Dudley mum - 11 years on

Patricia Lashley was last seen at her flat in Hall Street, on the morning of September 1, 1998, but wasn't reported missing until June 8 1999 by Pat's sister in Ebbw Vale, Wales who had not heard from her since the previous September.

The mum-of-seven left her home following a row with her boyfriend and had been missing before on several occasions for days at a time.

Pat is white, 5ft 4, slim with straight, mousey brown hair. She has a distinctive Geordie accent and her front teeth are black with teeth missing at the sides. Patricia also used the names of Jade Lashley, Patricia Lashleigh or Janessa Bradford. She also went by the name of Tricia.

DI Smith added: “We are aware that prior to her disappearance Pat had suffered with drink and drug problems. Whether this has any connection with her going missing it is still unclear.

She has not withdrawn any money since 1998 and did not take any possessions with her.

26 AUG 2010 - Hunt resumes for missing mum Patricia Lashley

Mrs Lashley is originally from Newcastle where she met Hassan Mehmet and they had four children.

They later parted and she went on to marry Nathan Lashley in 1992.

They lived in London and had two children but went their separate ways, which is when Mrs Lashley moved to Dudley.

Inquiries subsequently revealed Mrs Lashley has family links with Newcastle, London, Wales and also with Cyprus, where her ex-husband’s family were from.
