An Amber Alert has been issued for a 6-year-old girl after being taken by her father following a fatal stabbing in Bridgeport early Friday morning.
Aylin Sofia Hernandez, who could be in the Bronx with her father, a suspect wanted for a double stabbing, police said.

How awful. I hope he does the right thing and lets his daughter go safely. These types of cases really scare me.

This guy was deported back in 2013. Supposedly he was deported before for domestic violence. Looks to me like he came back in and he and her mom continued on with the relationship. So sad. This could have been prevented if people would have spoken up for her mom. I'm sure people knew about the abuse.

He was removed from the United States by ICE officers in Hartford, CT on Nov. 27, 2013. He has prior felony convictions from 2002 for assault and threatening, as well as several misdemeanor convictions.

Ugh, her death could have so easily been avoided. :( Poor Mom and poor Aylin, no with no parents at all.
 
Testimony is set to begin Wednesday morning in the trial of an undocumented immigrant accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend, seriously wounding her best friend and fleeing the state with their 6-year-old daughter.

If convicted, Hernandez could be sentenced to more than 100 years in prison.
