Dear Websleuths Members,

Please DO NOT bring in family members of the victim's and suggest they might have had something to do with the crime. As of right now, there is ZERO evidence to suggest this is the case.

People, please think about what Abby and Liberty's loved ones are going through right now.

They lost their two angels to murder and now they read on the Internet people are ripping their lives apart.

Same thing with any random person you happen to bring up. These people do not deserve to have their lives spread out and accusations made against them based on a theory with nothing to back it up.

I know it's frustrating when you go on other sites and they are talking about EVERYTHING but we just do not work that way on Websleuths.

You are anonymous behind your computer screen. Doesn't hurt you if you post something that's not true about a grieving family member. You step away from your computer and all is well. Meanwhile, your words are like burning hot knives in people's hearts.

Please take a moment to read our rules
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/misc.php?do=showrules

If you have any questions please email websleuthscomments@gmail.com or send a private message.

Ask yourself the following; Would you stand face to face with the person you are accusing, tell them your theory and tell them your real name?

Even with our tight and well thought out rules Websleuths is able to do amazing sleuthing.

Thank you for caring about Abby and Liberty.

Carroll County Sheriff Toby Leazenby said Abigail Williams and Liberty German were last seen around 1 p.m. when they were dropped off to go hiking at High Bridge, just east of Delphi.

Police ID bodies of Indiana girls

Two bodies found along a northern Indiana stream are those of two teenage girls who went missing Mondayand their deaths are being investigated as homicides, authorities said on Wednesday.

State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said autopsies performed Wednesday determined that the bodies are those of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, both of Delphi.

Their bodies were found Tuesday afternoon along Deer Creek near Delphi, about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis. Police said the girls’ bodies were about three-quarters of a mile from an abandoned railroad bridge where they were dropped off Monday to go hiking.

SGT. KIM RILEY, INDIANA STATE POLICE (via telephone) with CNN re: three posts in the image on the bridge

RILEY: We have looked at it. We`ve blown it up. As a matter of fact, that was done right after we got the picture -- we had access to the picture. And if you look at the far end of the tracks, it looks like there`s two people actually standing there. But if you blow the picture up, you`ll notice that there`s actually three poles there to keep cars from being -- trying to drive across the bridge. So that`s the marks that you see at the end of the tracks.

I see that the suspect is wearing his fanny pack on his right side. I'm right handed and I wear my fanny pack on my left. I wonder if he could be left handed ?

I think it was speculated that the homes searched belong to RSOs, but not reported as such or confirmed.

Personally, I think the motive for this crime was sexual assault so I believe there is a high likelihood that DNA was left behind. I'm just not so sure it matches anyone in the database. I think LE has a DNA sample that they can't match, but that's just my opinion.

You may very well be correct. If you're right then we can assume that there will be no search warrants executed at the homes of RSO's ( regardless of whether they have done this in the past ) because they will already be cleared by DNA evidence. Even without a match dna at leasts narrows the field, even if only by a little bit. Makes me wonder if LE will resort to asking all men in Delphi to voluntarily submit a sample.

I think there are some features that might not be available to you as a new member yet - until you have a certain # of posts.

I tried to remove my comment and it would not allow for delete. I edited them down but it obviously did not work. This site is complicated. I am old. Sorry If mods want to remove for me. Great. I can not even figure out how to message anyone until they message me.

So it appears there is much more footage and audio on the phone that was recovered. However, they only released a portion in order to preserve the investigation ?

It seems to me he must've scared them in some way before he attacked. Maybe his body language. In the still, his foot is raised in a manner that suggests to me that he was walking super fast. Anyone agree? I have a feeling he began approaching the girls quickly and it spooked them so one began filming. But he caught up and likely had a weapon he used to control them.

This is terrible. I wish they had run. It's important to teach our kids that they have a better chance of survival running away than complying. Even when the person has a gun. Don't let yourself ever be moved, transported or tied.

I think the man was not known to them otherwise he would not have been trailing them or have been alarming to them if they saw him approaching.

Here you will see the cemetery (area with spotlights and searchers). There is a path that leads from the back of the cemetery down to the bridge and area circled where the girls were found. Makes sense since they said they were found on private property. There was a sign on that path that said "no trespassing, private property). The searchers confirmed they were found on the Northside of the bridge, 50 yards from the water. Hope this helps.

Thanks for this map and the pictures. Here's my question: to get from the cemetery to the location of the bodies, would one have to walk "down the hill"? My gut is that the recording wasn't from when they were immediately grabbed. I also think they were creeped out by him on the bridge and got the video of him but they weren't grabbed by him until after they returned to the north side. I don't think he'd risk being vulnerable in the open creekbed with the two girls.

They can only match DNA if it is already in the database..maybe they could get lucky and get a hit on a relative that has been arrested and gave a sample.

Or someone who has signed up for ancestry.com

I really wish they could release more of the audio. Someone is bound to recognize his voice.
I live in Mississippi and I see guys dressed exactly like BG on cold days here.
He looks like average Joe to me. MOO.

But what if they don't have dna?

galaxygal - your photo enhancement is great. Can you divide his face in half and flip the right side of the photo over to the left so we have a full face? I could recognize this guy if I knew him, your enhancement is that good.

He looks late 20's to me.

I was replying to a post in thread #14 when it closed....

I agree he's not as old as everyone thinks he is.

I agree. I have thought since the stills were released that he was 32-38 years old....possibly as old as early 40s.

It was just the first impression I had upon seeing him, and although I have wavered at times I come back to a guy in his 30's. I think the profile for SKs (if he is indeed a SK) would add substance to my doofus hunch.

But what if they don't have dna?

DNA analysis requires as little as one hair to be left behind. What are the odds that in the course of one hour, someone murdered 2 girls and was so skilled and so methodical after what has been speculated to have been quite a fight from Libby that he didn't leave behind any trace of himself on either girl's body or at the scene.. MO is those odds are very very remote.

During the press conference when LE is asked about releasing more, the response was "hope we don't have to".

It gave me the impression the rest is horrible. MOO, of course.
