A murder investigation has been launched after the body of an elderly woman was found at an allotment.

Police officers discovered the 80-year-old in the early hours of Tuesday morning, just 25 minutes after she was reported missing.

A body was found in a lock-up store in Colindale, north west London, and the woman was confirmed dead at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said.

Oh, this is heartbreaking. She is so lovely in her photographs.

DCI McHugh refused to comment on speculation that Mrs Adri-Soejoko was strangled, saying only that she had “lost her life in the most tragic way possible”.

“She was strangled with a rope in a shed near hers, her clothes were pulled over her head, that’s what one of her allotment friends told me. It’s a shock to everybody.”

So sad. What on earth could be the motive for killing a defenceless 80 year old. Madness.

This happened along the road where my mum and dad live. They knew her to say hello to and exchange pleasantries, and chat about the weather and gardening. All the neighbours are in complete shock, as they would be.

Much the same Tortoise's report
