Human remains from five different victims (Three females and two males)

Case History

On May 22, 1986, authorities discovered a cardboard box in an apartment at 2300 Colquitt in Houston. Human remains from five different victims were found in the box.
The various remains were from three females Hot Case 1836, Hot Case 1834, Hot Case 1835, and two males, Hot Case 1836 and Hot Case 1837.

welp just looked at this... Two victims one is only a humerus and the other is only a skull. The rest of bones and that's all folks. The humerus produced no DNA results. And a couple are of African American race is all the other characteristics.

so the remains that sex could be deciphered seemed to be male.

they also mostly seemed to be African American.

None of them seemed to be children.

I almost wonder if they are like... Grave robbed? It sounds crazy but I can't imagine some one having random limbs and no bodies ect. I just can't wrap my head around it.

At first I thought the same thing but if they were medical specimens wouldn't they have been either cleaned or preserved? Namus described them as bones with soft tissue still on it

I was thinking of improperly disposed of after an amputation or something, but one of them is a head, so I guess that's not likely.

just realized on my first post I completely misunderstood the sex of the remains. Woops!

Some possibles for the males from 1982-1985. These are all of the males I could find missing from the Houston area during that time. Will go back further than 1982 soon. I am aware the remains are likely older than 1986, but I felt it important to add James Skelton just in case:

James Skelton went missing in 1986 only 22 minutes away from the apartment where the remains were found, but his missing date makes it pretty unlikely that he would be these remains. You never know though!

John Weichelt was last seen in March of 1983 at a bus stop only 7 minutes away from the apartments where the remains were found. Below is a map of the route between the bus stop area and apartments.

Montrose:
I used to party at one of the gay clubs in the mid-1980s. As a hetero female in a men's club it was awesome not to get hit on, I was a sweet young thing at the time. Great place to do Halloween. (Think Castro street in SF).The art car parade also in Montrose.
