GRAYSON COUNTY (WSLS 10) – The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help searching for a missing 17-year-old girl.

Mearah Spence was reported missing by her mother from their Galax home on Saturday afternoon.

She is 5-feet-1-inch tall and weighs about 180 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.

The sheriff’s office believes Mearah is in the company of a man, Wyndom Thornton.

Anyone who has information about this case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 276-773-3241.

FB says they are "engaged". Doesn't look like he is a well liked suitor for her by looking at his FB page.

I'm thinking with the hearing he has on March 21st I would be unsure of him also. Let's hope he shows up!
 
She doesn't look like she's 180 pounds, at all. Noodling around on facebook, there's a picture of her heavy but she was apparently nearly full-term pregnant with a baby they apparently lost around this time last year.
 
Her facebook page. These two have been together for YEARS, and got pregnant and lost a baby together. And announced their engagement publicly with a ring photo.

I wonder if something has happened that has caused her family to turn against him where before they were apparently at least allowing the relationship when she was in fact, much younger?

Is anyone able to verify all these criminal charges against Thornton? In Carroll County, the court docket doesn't list him for March 21, and I can't find anything in Carroll County for him except two minor traffic offenses 4 years ago.

Has anyone else been able to find the criminal offenses they're referring to?

His full name appears to be Wyndom Taylor Thornton
 
Ok. I found a criminal case history. It appears he was arrested sometime prior to Dec. 2015 on a manufacturing or distribution of drugs charge, and was placed on probation. Then, he was arrested apparently for a violation of probation Feb. 2016. That's how it looks to me, from this record. You have to enter his name in the link below.

In another twist, he's listed as a female. : /

bet he is on the run with her. probably had no plans on going to court because he knew he was going to serve time on violating his probation so her picked her up and is on the run.

He's now classified as a fugitive

He is listed as a fugitive on his 2015 probation, but there is still nothing for his 03-21-17 court hearing. Says "active" still. Having worked with the courts in another state this information is usually put in at the hearing by the clerk. Especially, if they are issuing a warrant for failure to appear at that time. I will have to see if I can find a warrant for this.
 
The Aware Foundation is posting and update with info from the Grayson County Sheriff that WT's car was found at a residence in NC. The police were denied entry to the house. The car contained MS's personal items. The car is now gone and they are looking for them again. Also, states that MS has called her mom to say that she is "OK".
