Gone without a trace, Honaker man missing for a week

It's been a week since anyone has seen 59-year-old Marty Street. He was last spotted near his home in Honaker, Virginia.

As the days go by, the family is becoming more concerned.

They tell News 5 he often got paranoid and are worried he doesn't know where or who he is. His sister made a plea for his return.

"Please come back home," Deanna Street said. "We miss him and we all love him and nobody knows what else to do."

I saw the FB posts, too, and then found the obituary below.

The obituary is for "Mr. Marty Lane Street, age 59, of Honaker, Virginia," who "passed away Friday (March 24, 2017) in Honaker, Virginia." It mentions one of his survivors is "sister, Deanna Street," and the article los posted upthread, in part, reads, "[Marty's] sister made a plea for his return. 'Please come back home,' Deanna Street said." (BBM) So, yes, I believe the FB posts are correct, and that unfortunately, Marty passed away

"The Russell County Sheriff's Office said the body of Marty Street, 59, was recovered in a creek about a half-mile from his home on Friday night.

A family member told News 5 last week that Street had bouts with paranoia in the past. The case is still under investigation."
