Two people missing and two small children are missing their mother. Now Detroit police are investigating a few odd clues left behind.

"I just want her found," said Melissa Cano, the woman's mother.

The mother of a missing 24-year-old Mariah Rasnick is sick with worry, while at the same time watching over Mariah's 7 and 3 year old children, and not knowing what to say.

Well, the circumstances certainly don't sound good. Off the bat my gut says this involves the boyfriend and he's on the run, not missing.

DETROIT - Detroit police are investigating the deaths of two people after their bodies were found inside a vacant home on the city's west side.

Police say the home on Mettetal*Street was intentionally set on fire Monday night. The fire led police to the deadly discovery.

It's unclear if the victims were killed in the fire...

A man and a woman*were found shot dead after the Detroit Fire Department extinguished a house fire on the city’s west side Monday night. Authorities believe the fire was set to cover-up*a double homicide.

At about 10:23 p.m. Monday, firefighters were dispatched to the 8100 block of Mettetal — north of Tireman, east of Greenfield — on a report of a small fire in the back of the home. When they put out the fire, they found two people dead, a man and a woman, who’d both been shot.

“We believe the fire was set to cover the homicide,” deputy fire commissioner Dave Fornell said. "We are calling it arson," Fornell said in an update late Tuesday morning...

and it sounds as if someone had also arsoned the victims apartment, (which was not the home they were found in) and vehicle. Someone did not like these two. Sad all around. So sad for all those who knew and loved these two, especially those babies.
 
I guess we cannot proceed until the female body has been identified.

It seems like the question here is going to be who murdered them and why?

Not a random perp since the apartment and van were torched.

Shot to death kind of sounds gang related. But that is just an assumption.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner has identified the*victims as Andy Maldonado, 26, and Mariah Rasnick, 24. Both deaths were ruled homicides from*multiple gunshot wounds.
