Florida Murder Suspect Claims Wife Asked Him to Kill Her - to Spare Her from Dementia

A 62-year-old Florida man was charged with murder this week after police say he admitted to fatally shooting his wife outside her nursing home, at her request, as a way to save her from her deteriorating mental condition.

Stephen Kruspe faces a first-degree murder charge in the Monday killing of his 61-year-old wife, Pamela Kruspe, who authorities say had dementia.

The two had been married for 42 years before she was killed by a gunshot to the chest, according to a police report obtained by PEOPLE.

The couple reportedly had three children.

Charging with 1st degree murder, no bail. I hope they really, really investigate this and look at his computers to see if he was looking up the best places to shoot her so she would die beforehand.

She was in an Alzheimer's assisted living, he took her out for dinner and then shot her in back of the facility building. This just stinks to me. He claims she was smiling as she fell to the ground. His mug shot doesn't show any emotion at all.
