Found Deceased TX - Riley Gast, 22, Fort Bliss, 28 March 2017

EL PASO, Texas - Authorities at Fort Bliss are asking the public for help locating a missing soldier.
Specialist Riley Gast, 22, was last seen March 28, 2017 in the laundry room of Building 20645 on post, Bliss officials said.
Gast's vehicle is a 2008 white Toyota Tacoma with a San Francisco 49ers logo on the back window.
If located, please notify Fort Bliss immediately.
The numbers to call are (915) 744-2115, (915) 744-2116, or (915) 744-2117.
You can also call the Fort Bliss Military Police Investigation Office at (915) 307-1015.

He is described as Caucasian, 61," 195 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

His last phone communication was 8:30 pm the day of his disappearance. The phone has been turned off. No personal belongs are believed missing except his white 2008 Toyota Tacoma with a San Francisco Giant's decal and Texas plate: HLN7485.

SPC Riley Gast is currently missing from his unit. He went missing on Monday morning following a medical appointment and authorities, with support from his unit, are actively searching for him. If you or anyone else has information on SPC Gast's location, please call the local police or notify his Chain of Command to ensure he is ok

BBM - that's concerning. What happened at his medical appointment? His family certainly is doing an awesome job at getting the word out. This case has a different "feel" to me than the two soldiers who went missing around Christmas last year, there seems to be more urgency here. Where are you, Riley?

He actually did not show up for his doctors appointment. We are really concerned about him as this is very out of character for him. He would never want his family to worry like we are.

It's a San Francisco Giants sticker, not 49ers. There is also a quail sticker and a flag sticker. Also, 6'2" and 200 pounds. Thank you for sharing. We, his family, really appreciate it.

Welcome to Webslueths although I'm sorry it's under these circumstances! Our family (mostly military) are praying that you find Riley safe and very, very soon! We've been sharing his information on SM and within everyone's respective military communities. Keep up the good work with getting the information out! You are doing an amazing job! One suggestion, start a find Riley page on Facebook. That way you can let people know if they need volunteers for searches, update any information that can help find him and it's easier for people to share 😊

He was not on leave and was supposed to show up for duty and did not. He loves his job so there is no worry of deserting. My theory is that he went on a drive and something happened.

I haven't heard anything and as of an hour ago his mom was still posting the missing posters. She would be one of the first to know. I'll keep you posted.

Unfortunately the body that was found in El Paso belonged to Riley. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for our family at this time of crisis.
