The Springfield Police Division has opened a missing persons case for a 32-year-old
Tennessee woman, Cassandra Fox. Fox was last seen Tuesday evening in Springfield.

Police working to ID body found near Buck Creek

There was no identification on the body and police are checking to confirm or knock down whether the woman is Cassandra Fox, 32, of Sevierville, Tenn., who was last seen April 4 in Springfield.

RIP Cassandra

The Springfield Police Division confirmed Wednesday that the body found near Buck Creek is the missing woman from Tennessee.

Cassandra Fox was last seen April 4 in Springfield. Her sister Erin Laywell said she and another family member identified the body Tuesday.
