He appears unkempt and underfed to me. Could he be in a hospital or nursing home? Possibly passed away of natural causes but not found yet?

Above body was identified as Joseph Jon Di Marco, not Thomas (update in the link).

I was unable to find follow up of the second dead body found in the media. Mr. McKillop is not in NamUs.
