DeBrodie was reported missing from his home at 298 Claymine Drive in Fulton Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. Police said he has a mental disability and has very limited ability to communicate verbally.

How terrifying for the parents. (Dad still refers to him as a "good little boy") The mental capacity of a 7 yr old. He has been gone for 5 days. There must have been something terribly wrong with the group home he was in if they have moved all of the residents out already. Hope he is found safe and sound soon!!!

Thanks to the mod that changed the title to Endangered!

ETA Mods are like ninja's. : )

There are public records concerning some people trying to adopt him a couple years ago. It was denied by the Judge and Appeals Court Judge affirmed. The documents give more info on his disabilities. He has been diagnosed with Pica. A disorder in which people will eat items that are not really food. It says one time he ate a battery. This is truly a dangerous situation for him.

"[FPD Chief] Myers would not comment on where the body was found or any of the circumstances surrounding it. However the chief noted that officers executed 12 search warrants in connection to the case since last week."

Sounds like foul play ... why would anyone hurt him??
This is very sad. If indeed it is him and someone harmed him.

He had been staying t a group home for the last 9 years.

"I am frustrated and I believe there is a high quality of negligence on the group home, on the people who own the group home, the people who managed it, the guardian, and the state of Missouri," said DeBrodie's cousin, Rebecca Summers.

Summers said DeBrodie had been staying at the*Second Chance Group Home for the last nine years. He was reported missing from his group home on April 17.

It seems that there was an ownership/management change recently and at or near the same time he was then reported missing. I have been trying to find out when that change took place but haven't had any luck so far.

The place where he was found was a locked storage locker so somebody had to have put him there. To me only an animal would hurt someone like him. Just beyond words.

Does anyone know if the medical examiner will be able to tell how long his remains have been encased in the concrete? I believe he has been gone longer than when he was reported missing. It wasn't until the new owners took over that he was reported.

I fear the same ...:

"DeBrodie, 31, was reported missing Monday from an individualized supported living home on Claymine Drive. The home was then managed by Second Chance Homes of Fulton.
That same day, management of the group home transferred to Finck Supported Living Services. Second Chance Homes has not responded to emails or phone calls requesting comment.
'When we arrived, Carl Lee DeBrodie was not present or transitioned to our care,' said Jonathan Finck, owner of Finck Supported Living Services.
...
Finck explained homes like the one DeBrodie lived at are ultimately under the charge of the state, which selects service providers.
...
At the local level, Callaway County Special Services provides case management for residents.
'I've never in my professional life heard of an individual just not existing when a new company took over,' Finck said.
...
He said typically, ISL homes have a 'rigorous supervision process' with residents. The building at the address he provided has security cameras pointed at the doors."

This article from 9 a.m. today reads:
"[Fulton Police Chief] Myers also said an autopsy on the remains found in Fulton will be performed at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday."
http://www.abc17news.com/news/body-found-in-fulton/461175568

And then, this article from 8:24:00 PM CDT today states:
"Rebecca Summers, the cousin of DeBrodie, said the family didn't get the chance to see the body, but police told them the body is DeBrodie.

She added that they've been told the body is unidentifiable, and she assumes DeBrodie has been murdered."

From the same article:
"'We do have a lot of information and a lot of evidence, and I can't discuss that at this time, but we do have some pretty solid evidences that probably him,' Steve Myers, the chief of the Fulton Police Department, said.
...
'He [the police officer] told us he has suspect in mind, which makes us believe that it was a murder,' Summers said.
...
The authorities said the investigation is still continuing, and there is still information that investigators are following up on.
...
Myers said the investigation will take time due to the complex nature of the incident.
...
The police department has not received the autopsy results yet."

All BBM.

I am beyond infuriated.

This from tonight's news. This case is local to me, about 20 miles away.

She added that*they've been told the body is unidentifiable, and she assumes DeBrodie has been murdered.*
"He [the police officer] told us he has suspect in mind, which*makes us believe that it was a murder," Summers said.
Summers said this never should have happened.*

From the Fulton Police Department FB page:
"On 04/17/2017 at 0730 hours Fulton Police responded to a report of Carl Debrodie walking away from a Second Chance Group home.
...
During the course of the investigation that day additional information was developed that lead officers to believe that DeBrodie had been possibly missing for an extended period of time."
