I have found a Kenneth Mark Thompson in Ancestry
His birthdate is 11 June 1944 which would tie in with the missing Namus being 35 years old in 1979. He was born in Paris, Lamar , Texas which is about a hour and a half from Dallas Texas.
This Kenneth Mark Thompson has a death date in 2004, he was a Vietnam Veteran and is buried in Illinois.

NamUs has fingerprints (available elsewhere) Perhaps being a Vet there might be a way to get more information to see if this could be the missing person?
