The WLRN story, which ran in February, explained how a week before last Christmas, [MS] was in a car in front of his home when gunfire broke out. He was shot in the leg. His friend was shot in the head and survived. Earlier last year, [MSs] younger brother Martwan [redacted], 15, was shot four times while playing outside his apartment.
The bullet that hit Martwans spine left him paralyzed from the waist down.

The brother hasn't been charged as an adult at this point, although the DA is working on building a case against him as an adult. He turned 17 the day of the shooting.
