Her photos and videos made me sad ... she is 15 ....
This almost happened to my then-thirteen-year-old daughter. Fortunately, my ex-husband and I found out that the predator (an 18-year-old male) was on his way to meet her -they had met online- just a few hours he was due to arrive at the train station just a couple of miles down the road from my ex's house. LE were absolutely fantastic. They went to pick him up at the station, but -sadly- my daughter had already given the dude a heads-up, so he had gotten off the train a couple of stations away.
By the time LE tracked him down back to his state, he had just been arrested for breaking and entering, firearm larceny, etc. He was sentenced to a year in jail and supervised probation of 20 years.
My daughter hasn't even spoken to this guy since Nov. '15, yet -again, sadly- she is still obsessed with him. A week ago Thursday, she decided to check his status on vinelink, and it said he had been "transferred." My thought at the time was, "Well, he is scheduled for release in a month, so maybe he is in a court-ordered drug treatment program or something." My daughter seemed to be satisfied with that at the time.
Well, it kept bugging me, so though thinking, "No way," I decided to look him up on vinelink for our state, and there he was, in our county jail. I called my ex right away, then the detective, and finally the victims' advocate. He had been charged with four felonies and a misdemeanor in our state -stemming out of his relationship with my daughter- and extradited to our state. Due to the nature of the charges, he is looking at some serious prison time here.
My daughter just found this out last night via another vinelink search, and just about lost her mind (she suffers from a number of mental health conditions). Her position is he shouldn't be held responsible at all and wants him out of jail right away ... sigh.
My apologies for the long post, and I certainly do not mean to take the focus away from CAB. The point I would like to make here is that the victims (and I do consider them victims whether they are willing participants or not) in these types of cases may not face legal consequences, but they do face serious, long-term emotional and psychological implications.
I pray that CAB is found quickly and unharmed.
