Turns out you cannot violate your probation, even if you are the Chief of Police. Go figure.

WaKeeney police chief arrested again

WaKeeney Police Chief Terry Eberle -- already arrested Wednesday -- was arrested for a second time Thursday.

The Trego County Attorney said in a news release Eberle has been sent back to the county jail after being picked up for an alleged violation of bond. A bond violation hearing is set for Monday, May 8 at the Ellis County Courthouse.

FF12: Court docs says WaKeeney Police Chief interfered to save son from the law

In August of 2012, the complaint says Eberle tried to persuade the Trego County Emergency Management Director to lie which would alter evidence and therefore hinder or prevent the prosecution of Eberle's son. Documents say Eberle also called the director and threatened her job with the county if she testified and blackmailed her.

Then, three years later in October of 2015, the complaint says Eberle changed the hours some of his employees worked. It says he used two employees for unauthorized work during that time and in February of 2016, therefore stealing from the police department he's been chief of for 21 years.
