Woman's disappearance devastates family Last updated Dec 20 2005 08:43 AM AST
CBC News The family of a Fredericton woman who went missing three weeks ago is appealing to the public for help in finding her. Amy Wilson, 33, was reported missing Dec. 4 after she failed to show up at a gathering of friends. Her car was found near the walking bridge downtown, but there has been no sign of her since that day. Her brother John Wilson and mother Kathryn Wilson came to New Brunswick from Ontario to help conduct the search. John Wilson hopes the public can help solve the case. He thinks people may have seen her in the vicinity of the walking bridge Dec. 3 or 4. "It's really devastating, to not know where she is or not know what is happening is really hard to deal with on a daily basis. And not to have any clues on where she is is very difficult as well. There's a thousand things that run through your mind, all of them not good of course. But it's the not knowing that's the really difficult thing to deal with." The Fredericton police are investigating Wilson's disappearance. Amy is 5'3" and weighs about 160 lbs. She has brown hair and was wearing a beige jacket and dark pants the night she went missing.
**Amy went missing just an hour north of where I live. It's extremely rare for people to go missing here**
