[h=1]Autopsy needed to identify body found by hikers on Mount Ogden[/h]
An autopsy will be needed to determine what killed a man whose badly decomposed body was found Sunday by a hiker in the foothills of Ogden.

Weber County sheriff's Lt. Nate Hutchinson said Monday that the remains appeared to have been at the scene, off a trail on the slopes of Mount Ogden, "for a while, several weeks to several months."

With all of that information, it shouldn't be too difficult to identify him.

William Hurtado

He was last seen in Colorado in January but was due to be travelling to California so, from what I can see on google, he could well have travelled through Utah (I'm not from the US so correct me if I'm wrong).
His hair is very short in the pics, possibly shaved. He was last seen wearing jeans, t shirt and flat peaked baseball cap.

There aren't any DNA samples or dental charts available unfortunately.

The age is slightly off (33) and there's a big difference in the height as UID is around 5'6 and William is listed as around 6'.

So wait he was wearing just long johns for pants? Sounds like a hypothermia situation with the layers strewn around, maybe they need to look harder and see if they can find his actual pants. Good chance if they do there will be ID in them.

I think it is somebody younger... like high school age. Maybe he had the Dwayne Wade jersey (from the young-enough-to-have-a-hero phase) for a while. Dwayne has been around for several years.
The 9FIFTY snapback sticker - those caps are somewhat pricey. The tag on the bill Mre3? Mre5? MreS? This screams young urban gangsta style to me. I suppose there are always some young men who don't outgrow that.

I have found so many missing young men who are potential candidates, many with no photos. I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment.

[h=1]Police identify body of man found in Ogden foothills[/h]

Hikers found 20-year-old Joe Montes's body near the cliffs of the foothills, north of the trails rather than on any established path in the area, according to police.

His family recognized his hat — a navy blue Dallas Cowboys baseball hat with writing on the brim — which was publicized after it was found near the body, according to a news release from the Weber County Sheriff's Office. Detectives confirmed his identity from dental records.
